The Day I Got My Braces

I went today and got my braces and on the way home we stopped and took a picture. A picture of a bridge. A covered bridge. This bridge was renovated the year I was born which is why my mother went there. She told me we were going to take a picture of the bridge with every visit to my orthodontist.
Now tonight I lay here in my bed hurting. Feeling like two elephants are playing tug a war with my teeth. I have four little antennas on my braces where they could not put a bracket and at any moment I'm going to tune into satellite radio. I hope its a good station. So for now, I guess this begins my journey through my trials and the seasons that pass within this time and two years from now when I get them off. See how my smile and this bridges changes with the seasons. Life's journeys are not always easy, they sometimes hurt but is it worth it in the end. I guess we'll all see.
